Away From All Sorrows The Lost Ones Flee

Away from all sorrows the lost ones flee
Their bright eyes burn at the close of day
To live without love as their decree

Beautiful and tragic they frighten me
Brokenness a lovely and fearful array
Away from all sorrows the lost ones flee

Crying to let their dead hearts roam free
All the lost souls come out to play
To live without love as their decree

Standing alone amidst the old hollow tree
They beg and plead for others to stay
Away from all sorrows the lost ones flee

Bleeding out dark, their tears form a sea
Dread mellowing in the valley in which they lay
To live without love as their decree

Beaten to death they find the key
Although their hearts slip into violent decay
Away from all sorrows the lost ones flee
To live without love as their decree

World Vision

Everytime I write a single word, the world goes out of focus until
the last stroke of my pen.
I am taken to another place;
a universe of my own creation.
A place where no wars are waged.
A place where cars travel together
along an endless road to a single
destination.
A place where the snow-capped,
distant mountains stand tall and
noble.
A place where there are no goodbyes.
A place where there is no death or
painful suffering.
A place where animals roam freely, as
human equals.
A place where all races and religions
are one with each other.
A place where tears are dried long before
they fall.
A place where one can live their wildest
dreams without fear of failure.
A place where beauty is found in every
living thing.
A place where happiness and tranquility
show on everyone's faces.
A place where people exist peacefully
together.
A place where the air is fresh and clean
and food is plentiful.
A place where exclusion is excluded.
A place where fairytales come to life.
A place where perfection is attainable.
A place where everyone has somewhere
safe and warm to stay for the night.
A place where daydreams are reality.
A place where the word no is foreign.
A place where one can be free.

It is the most beautiful place that
ever could be imagined.
I go there everytime I write a word.
And whenever I am there, I never
ever want to come back.

Happy Tears of Sadness

Happy to be leaving
Sad for not wanting to go
Goodbyes are full of pain
But so too is a hello

To be reuinted with my loved ones
A joy we all will share
The sorrow of a lover's final kiss
Hurts too much to be fair

Lingering farewells exchanged
So heavy remains my heart
Hovers in the atmosphere
As regretfully we part

Whenever will we meet again?
Could it be in a day or a year?
Our reunion a mystery unknown to us
As the certain time draws near

But someday in the future
We shall surely find each other
It will be just like the old times
Finding comfort in one another

Treasure our fondest memories
Keep in touch as much as we can
And someday, in the future near or distant
Our paths will cross again.

Prejudice.

People hurt for prejudice
Rage at the injustice
Effects of it obvious to the eye
Justice nowhere to be found.
Understanding of each other
Doesn't seem to be
In the lives of those excluded
Crying silently for
Everything they lost to racism.

Roses Are…

Roses are grey,
Violets are grey,
I'm colourblind
And I suck at poetry.

Courtesy of a Facebook like.

Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue…

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Shut the hell up,
Or I will shoot you.

Silent Death

Strip me of my worth
until I am bare of all dignity
naked and bleeding
from unhealed scars,
exposing my shielded heart
to a storm of new pain.
Eating its way through a faith once lost,
washed away in winter's cold,
blinding and deafening silence,
enveloping and devouring all in its path
echoes,
slips away into eternal night
parting with its victim's corpse,
a broken, lifeless soul,
to exist forever in a daydream,
in a place of distant song.
Beyond the valley of empty questions,
above a lake of unshed tears,
where the fragment of her shattered heart,
the one she never noticed,
silently cries black tears,
wondering if he could have saved her.
